For many people the climb to and from Mooney Falls is a challenging experience. On your way down to the falls you pass through two tunnels cut into the rock. Then you have to descend a near vertical section with rusted chains and footsteps cut into the cliffside. At this point everything is wet and slippery from the spray coming off the falls. If you have a fear of heights or are in any way uncoordinated it’s probably best to just enjoy the views from the top.
