I've always had an odd relationship with Resident Evil 4—it's clearly a fantastic game, that I can nevertheless only play in extremely short bursts before it gets too intensely scary for me. But wait—isn't this the game that turned the survival horror series into an action game, with all sorts of tools for you to get through any situation?
Well yes, and as we'll discuss through comparison of how games can represent action compared to films, that might just be the scariest thing about it. Leon Kennedy is the closest thing to John Wick we have in video games (especially timely given the release of John Wick Chapter 4), and through him we learn that, well, being John Wick would be utterly terrifying.
PS5 code for the remake was provided by the publisher, but I ended up buying PC code myself.
