Researchers from the Paul M. Rady Department of Mechanical Engineering and the Ann and H.J. Smead Department of Aerospace Engineering Sciences are using wind tunnels to study how wildfire starts, moves and spreads, as well as the damage it causes. They hope to one day build computational tools that can predict how wildfire will behave.
