UDRI (University of Dayton Research Institute) is pushing research forward with America Makes, 3D Systems, and the U.S. Air Force. Through MAMLS (Maturation of Advanced Manufacturing for Low-Cost Sustainment), an America Makes program, is specifically designed to use additive and advanced manufacturing technologies to sustain aging aircrafts for the U.S. Airforce. Using Creaform 3D scanning and 3D Systems software, data is taken into SOLIDWORKS to enable the production of new designs in hours. The Figure 4 Production platform and materials allow for new inventory of parts to be delivered at a speed that's never been seen before.

With 3D Systems, unprecedented speed and scalability are accomplished through an improved digital workflow.
