Ever wonder why buttons have four legs? In this clip from the SparkFun Inventor’s Kit for MicroPython, we break down how push buttons actually work inside your circuit.
Each pair of legs is connected internally, and when you press the button, all four connect allowing current to flow through your circuit. We’ll also show how to wire your button correctly on a breadboard so your ground, resistor, and input pin don’t overlap.
