The experience system in Rocket League has become an overly complicated beast that hardly makes sense anymore. Player levels extend into the 1000s, progression is more based on the money you spend than actual in game experience, and avatar and title rewards are basically meaningless. But it wasnt always like this. This is the story of the Rocket League XP System from launch in 2015 down to Free to Play. It's a story of XP glitches and hacks, toxic title shaming, broken patches, in-game point struggles, useless avatar borders, and how the once prestigious Rocketeer title was just tossed away.
