Project Aak works in conjunction with international organizations, local communities, residents of the region and government agencies such as the National Commission for Protected Natural Areas (CONANP) and the Federal Prosecutor's Office for Environmental Protection (Profepa) to contribute to the conservation of the jaguar and other small cats living in the country surroundings Mahahual.
Their actions include monitoring wildlife through trap cameras, promoting coexistence between communities and wildlife, as well as environmental education and protection of ecosystems of Costa Maya.
