This woman from a small community in Chiapas decided to promote Mexican coffee specifically from Chiapas to prestigious companies around the world! But, how?
She knew her community have the world's MOST DELICIOUS Mexican coffee. She knocked on the door of a prestigious coffee company in the US without knowing any English just because she wanted them to try her coffee.
When they tried, they were surprised such a good coffee came from this small region in Chiapas. It was the MOST DELICIOUS Mexican coffee! I visited this woman because I found it fascinating that now she's selling her community's coffee to the whole world but also she wants to help people, especially women in her community to improve her quality of life.
She buys coffee from local farmers here in Chiapas, most women, and she offers this high-quality coffee to prestigious companies around the world. To be able to understand, she took us to one of her producer's coffee farms. I was excited because I could see the coffee cherries for the first time!
