International Market isn't just one of Nashville's most beloved restaurants—it's part of the city's story.
In 1975, Win and Patti Myint took a chance on a city that had little familiarity with international cuisine. By combining an international grocery with a steam table of homemade Thai dishes, they introduced generations of Nashvillians to flavors they'd never experienced before.
Today, their children, Chef Arnold Myint and Anna Myint, are carrying that legacy forward while making it their own. In this documentary, they share the remarkable story of their parents' vision, growing up inside the family business, losing the original restaurant, and bringing International Market back for a new generation.
Along the way, they reveal how Thai food became part of Nashville's culinary identity—and why their story is as Southern as it is Thai.
