Fasting is not just about eating and drinking. There's a lot more to it.
The Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) said "Whoever does not give up forged speech and evil actions, Allah is not in need of his leaving his food and drink"(Bukhari).
In another narration "Perhaps a person fasting will gain nothing other than hunger and thirst". (Ibn Majah).
It's important for us to fast with our entire bodies this month and try our best to refrain from all kinds of evil actions - only then will we gain the full reward.
*Please also note: None of the above actions invalidate the fast (music, lying, staring etc.), rather they just reduce the reward you gain.
