Happy New Year.
I'm posting this video to announce some recent changes to this channel. Don't worry, I'm still planning on making videos, posting weekly whenever I can, and trying to teach you how to be a stronger computer programmer, software designer, and student of the mysteries of the computing arts.
So, what is changing? The channel has grown, which is both exciting and challenging. And, if I want to sustain this growth, I'm going to have to turn this hobby into a small business, or at least a hobby that pays for itself.
I hope you'll help me do this by watching and liking videos, subscribing to the channel if you haven't already, and supporting the channel on Patreon. I recently set up a Patreon account where you can contribute to the channel, and I plan to use the platform to provide some additional perks to those who are willing to support the channel. For, now I'm offering the following:
+-- Source code access
+-- Live online office hours (once a month)

Welcome! I post videos that help you learn to program and become a more confident software developer. I cover beginner-to-advanced systems topics ranging from network programming, threads, processes, operating systems, embedded systems and others. My goal is to help you get under-the-hood and better understand how computers work and how you can use them to become stronger students and more capable professional developers.
About me: I'm a computer scientist, electrical engineer, researcher, and teacher. I specialize in embedded systems, mobile computing, sensor networks, and the Internet of Things. I teach systems and networking courses at Clemson University, where I also lead the PERSIST research lab.
