Going to the #supermarket in Italy has been quite the adventure since we moved here just over a month ago. American supermarkets, especially where we lived, were huge, and had everything under the sun available from all sorts of different countries.

I haven't gone grocery shopping recently in Korea, but from what I remember, supermarkets there were either megastores with tons of items available, or local stores with fresh produce and #groceries consisting of just a few aisles. Italy is a lot like Korea, in that some supermarkets are gigantic, and others not so much.

What we've found, however, is that the quality of goods available in Europe, and in particular in #Italy, is second to none. Produce is normally very fresh, and selection ranges from super local to items from across the globe.

And, do NOT even get me started on the prices! While grocery shopping in the United States and Korea can be expensive, especially these days, in comparison, Italy is far less expensive.

I sent Richard to the grocery store to pick up a couple items now that we have a car. I cannot believe how much he was able to purchase for under 100 Euro. I was in absolute shock when he returned home from the local grocery store, we decided to capture my reaction in real time to unveiling everything he purchased.
