We're learning about the pros and cons of different kinds of models by making the same miniature in all 4 of the ways in which minis can be made! The four broad categories of miniatures are metal, 3D printed, 2-part resin, and thermoplastic injection molding. Thermoplastic injection molding includes siocast (polyamide), polystyrene, and PVC.

Trenchworx uses all four of these techniques daily. They make models for a broad range of clients, and they pick whichever material best fits the job. Casey from eBay Miniature Rescues and myself spent 2 days hanging out and making minis! Big thanks to Casey and the whole crew at Trenchworx for such a fun and educational experience. :-)

disclosure: Casey and I are buddies with the owner of Trenchworx, and we wish them successful in their ventures. This video is not sponsored. We paid Trenchworx to make us some goblins, and then we drove out to film it! ;-)
