In Part 1 of this two part series we learned how MLM founder Keith Raniere turned his MLM into a sex cult. In Part 2 I explore why Keith Raniere used the MLM structure to form his cult, and why MLM’s are inherently cult like. MLMs promise financial freedom and a chance to live your dream life, but deliver nothing but destroyed relationships and financial ruin. Keith Raniere faces prison, and many other members, including Allison Mack, Nancy Salzman, Lauren Salzman, and Seagrams heiress Clare Bronfman, face numerous charges. Actress Sarah Edmondson played a key role in exposing the NXIVM scam to the public.
