What qualifies me to talk about elements of the writing and/or publishing industry? I have an English degree and a thirty-year career in editing, and I’ve had books published by four indie publishing houses and had novellas and short stories published in a handful of anthologies. (I’ve also self-published some titles on my own.) I have a handful of creative writing and technical writing awards and was nominated for the Pushcart Prize a couple years ago.
