U.S. Representatives don’t have to live in the districts they represent.

So theoretically, you could live in Ketchikan, Alaska, and represent the fine folks of Point Hope, Alaska…1,600 miles away.

Oh wait, the entire state of Alaska has only one representative, anyway.

So theoretically, you could live in Brownsville, Texas, and represent the fine folks of Texline, Texas….900 miles away. It’s kinda crazy.

What’s even crazier? According to my research, at least 55 U.S. representatives currently don’t live in the district they represent. Yep, there they all are.
