It's highly unoptimized of course, but this was the best attempt I got from today... For more accurate results I would have to read out the exact tick-times, right now it's just a wild guess if a tick passed or not...
You have to look at the lava like one or 2 ticks to pick it up successfully and then have to look at the place for a tick to place it down successfully to get the optimal result... everything in between just creates ghost items or misplaces it...
The last section is played 20 times slower (I was playing on tickrate 1)
