Lady A co-lead singer Hillary Scott remembers the moment when a giant, swaying scrim fell over her heard, nearly changing the performance completely. What could have been a nationally televised catastrophe quickly became one of the group's "most memorable TV performances."
That night, Lady A performed "Need You Now," which they released five months before the 2010 Grammys and which would become one of their signature songs, and won the Grammy for Best Country Performance By A Duo Or Group With Vocals for "I Run To You." The following year, Lady A dominated the 2011 Grammys with "Need You Now," which won the Grammy for Song Of The Year, Record Of The Year and Country Performance By A Duo Or Group With Vocals. The song notched an additional Grammy win for Country Song for Lady A members Charles Kelley, Dave Haywood and Hillary Scott. The group also won the Grammy for Country Album for 'Need You Now,' which featured the titular song.
