my thought process was: this joke is originally supposed to be tasteless and focused on the Vee's lack of care towards Angel. however that does get kinda undercut by the wacky sound effects and the cut-away gag format. I always thought that just lingering on the Vees expressions would be a good way of making the audience really really uncomfortable AND show how awful they are. in all technicality I didn't even change anything
and i'd be amiss to say that when I first saw the 'angel being hit compilation' i did laugh in a "WHAT THE FUCK?" kind of way
