Here is how I use AI in my Rust production coding today.

I went from 40% AI-generated code to 90% in 5 months .. but .. without losing control.

- Core tenet: Control First, Magic Second.

- I treat specs, best practices, and plans as code.

- Some files are checked into the codebase, others are more ephemeral — but everything lives as files, including prompts and chats.

- I focus on flattening the software complexity curve to guide AI toward building scalable code.

- The goal is to generate as much as possible with AI — not just to delegate, but to collaborate for better design, better code, and higher velocity.

I use a custom AI runtime (CLI) I built in Rust over the past year: AIPack, with a `pro@coder` pack that enables this workflow effectively.
