Travel photography isn't always perfect photos. I went to Amabiki-san Rakuhoji — Japan's famous hydrangea temple — in the pouring rain, and most of the photography I came home with isn't good. I kept it anyway, and in this video I want to show you why.
What started as doubt slowly turned into some of my favourite frames of the year. Not because they're portfolio-worthy (most of them definitely aren't, haha), but because they're part of something I think photographers don't talk about enough: the practice of photography, and what "bad" photos actually buy you.
