Seamwork | How I stay motivated to sew @SeamworkVideo | Uploaded May 2024 | Updated October 2024, 16 minutes ago.
Here’s my little trick for staying motivated to sew, and it’s something you can use any time you’re in a slump.
1. Start with a project that’s INHERENTLY motivating. Think about bang for your buck here. I like to choose something that’s easy to sew, and that I’ll wear or use a lot.
2. Next, I’ll plan a project that goes with the first one. Having a complete outfit is really motivating to me.
3. Alternate high intensity and low intensity projects after that. I make sure that I have enough challenge to keep me interested, and enough easy wins to keep going.
Try one or all of these tips the next time you just can’t figure out what you want to sew.
And be sure to listen to this week’s episode of Seamwork Radio, where Haley and I dive into much more detail on tips like these! You can find it on Apple Podcasts, Spotify, or just follow the link in bio.
