Tatami Omote
These are Mugen Dachi or close to that.
This is one way to roll mats and it’s been the best for me.
I’ve tried other ways and the mat didn’t stay as tight.
When buying tatami mats always unroll them, check the mat and roll them yourself.
Rubber bands or twine are the best options for keeping the mat together.
Soak for 24hrs and let drain for 1hr for best performance.
These mats after drain are around 5lbs.
33.5” to 35” In height.
Here’s another video from Japan on rolling/soaking mats: youtu.be/i1quujGLF5k
Hope this helps and thanks for watching!
