'Came Here for the Game' is one of my most meaningful, favourite, and signature 'REVEAL' type songs. I grew up on Hip-hop where artists would talk about their life stories, their struggles, and inspiring their audience with their words of wisdom.
This single is a direct conversations to my listeners about me and where I was currently at. From talking about deaths in my family, to the hardships of being an indie musician, to some hard bars and flows to bop your head to - everything you need in a classic hip-hop single.
I initially made the beat (which is what happens 90% of the time), and with the track being so close to me I felt that I would very much enjoy breaking the beat down and showing you how I put it altogether. It's quite simple, but it is within simplicity where the magic happens, especially in music.
