How I made my Peppermint Sword - by popular request!! 🍬 It's been a while since I explained the full, complicated process of casting this resin sword. This giant mold has 14 pour spouts, so that each semi-transparent layer could be poured without any splashes or runs. Every single layer was partially cured before the next pour, in order to create a nice, flat line while also bonding tightly to the next layer. I'm also very proud of the little triangular pop-out, which is what made it easy to set the whole mold up at an angle for tilted stripes! All in all, this took about a week of intense work, plus a sixteen hour resin-pouring extravaganza! 💦
