OOOOOOOOOOH, ELDEN RIIIIING!
I spent a couple of months after Elden Ring released to create this jar helmet you can wear in the game out of EVA foam! I'm really pleased with how it turned out, and I hope you enjoy watching the process I filmed/edited together.
Some of the footage is staggeringly fast, sorry about that all! Some of it was recorded that way and some of it I sped up to keep the video concise :).
Here's a list of all of the things I ended up using during the crafting process:
EM3D phone app for head scan
Blender for modeling jar helmet to scale
Pepakura for printing a paper model
Hot Glue/Tape
Box Cutter
8-10 mm high density EVA foam for jar helmet body
2 mm EVA foam for trim details
EVA foam dowels/square dowel for handles and jar opening
Dremel w/various heads
Orbital sander w/80 & 150 grit
Barge contact cement
Superglue
Foam clay
Impasto/acrylic paste
Kwik Seal filler
Flexbond primer
Airbrush
Various acrylic paints from FolkArt/Americana including Desert Sand, Champagne Gold, Parchment, Matte Brown, and Matte Black
Water
Power drill
Craft Smart sponge pack
Upholstery foam
Krylon crystal clear/matte sealant spray
