We used to be skeptical about Impulse responses (or IRs for short), but they've come a long way in recent years. Are they "better" than the real deal amps? Probably not. But there are a number of reasons they might be worth the (very minor) tradeoffs...
So in today's video, we'll guide you through the journey that led us to appreciate and implement IRs, from the basics, what is an impulse response and how does it work, all the way to the applications we think they're best suited for and why you might want to reach for a direct box, loadbox or cabinet simulator over a traditional amp and speaker cabinet.
