The Mimic is a sporadic boss. In order to fight it, players must first speak to the strange casket upstairs in Watson's house in Hosidius to enable the chance of a reward casket turning into a mimic, then obtain one by attempting to open an elite (1/35) or master reward casket (1/15).

The fight with the Mimic is instanced; if the player dies during the fight, lost items will be kept by the strange casket and can be reclaimed for 90,000 coins. Note that if players die a second time anywhere without reclaiming the items the casket is holding for the player, they will be permanently lost, unless the death occurs within a safe minigame, such as the Nightmare Zone.
