Here is How I Integrated My UPS to Home Assistant Using My Synology NAS and in the process gained the ability to create automations based on my UPS status. For example, I can now instruct devices to power themselves off if the UPS has been disconnected from power for more than 3 minutes.

All you have to do is to connect your UPS to your Synology NAS with a USB cable and the rest is just a matter of a few clicks.

As i rely on my Home Assistant as the orchestrator of my home automation, it seemed very logical to me to this integration and have home assistant take care of things in an automated kind of way.
