After posting this (edited!) picture with Bolson to reddit, I was tasked by a fellow redditor to "go and b*tch-slap Hagie with his cash"... and who am I to disagree? He defo deserved it.
The red rupee and the bomb barrels were spawned in using the Ganondorf amiibo. You can not drop rupees out of your own pocket, so I had to improvise.
