Welcome to the WoW Classic Goldbound Challenge!
Inspired by the popular retail zonelocked challenge from patheralix
(youtube.com/@PathalerixGold,) I decided to try this in Classic WoW. No twinks, no gold from other characters, just me, my Night Elf Hunter *Coppercoin*, and the long grind ahead.
In Episode 3 of the Goldbound Classic Challenge we finally push through the grind in Teldrassil and hit our first big milestone: 25 gold earned!
The road there wasn’t easy. I tested professions like Tailoring and Alchemy, only to realize low-level items had almost no market value. So it was back to harpy farming – mapping out an efficient route, chasing Matriarchs for Light Feathers, and squeezing every silver out of talons, cloth, and vendor trash.
After about 20 hours of playtime, countless trips to Darnassus, and more RNG than I’d like to admit, the effort finally paid off. Checking the mailbox revealed enough sales and gold to reach the 25g target – meaning the Teldrassil chapter of the challenge is complete.
Next stop: Auberdine, where the gold goal will rise and new opportunities await.
