Merry Christmas everyone! To celebrate the occasion, I decided to showcase the behind the scenes workings of the thermal discouragement beam in Portal 1 video I did a while back: youtu.be/wAYBnudkHYs

A couple of things I forgot to mention in this video - Portal: Project Beta runs off of Source 2013 Singleplayer, hence why the code could be modified in the first place! This also explains why parallax corrected cubemaps could be added. Additionally, this was done without any reference to the Portal 2 code, as I don't believe that is publicly available anywhere (hence why this implementation is sub-optimal, as you'll see). Lastly, it seems as if the source code for Portal: Project Beta has been removed :(
