Meet the innovative Kenyan company transforming human faeces into fuel - creating a sustainable energy alternative while tackling deforestation.
Burning around twice as long as local charcoal with ⅓ of the emissions, this revolutionary eco-fuel is made from human waste collected from special toilets in Kenya, which is then processed with sawdust and rose waste. With each tonne of the fuel sold saving around 88 trees, innovative approaches like this could help to meet energy demand while keeping forests standing, preventing pollution and providing local jobs.
