How has adult coloring changed over the years? Whether you started coloring one year ago or fifteen years ago, I thought it would be a neat way to see what you have experienced over the years with a new coloring tag called #ColoringShifts.
I’ll share my thoughts on the work of Johanna Basford and Hanna Karlzon, including how their illustration styles and storytelling have evolved over the years and which books I think best represent those changes.
I’ll also talk about the shift from highly detailed coloring pages toward simpler designs, personalized patterns and tiny details and why I think a centralized resource for the adult coloring community is necessary.
