Chromecast is a handy IoT device for broadcasting content to a nearby monitor or TV. Unfortunately, like most IoT devices, it's also vulnerable to hijacking. On this episode of Cyber Weapons Lab, we'll show you how hackers can use the Python script "Cast All the Things" to commandeer Chromecasts. By doing so, they can display images, videos, websites, messages, and more on whatever screen the Chromecast is connected to.

For hackers, when gaining access to a macOS computer thats vulnerable, one of the first steps is to establish situational awareness. This means fingerprinting the device youve found yourself with access to, and its a good idea to find out what its connected to, what the user has permission to do, and begin gathering information about the system.
On Cyber Weapons Lab, well show you how to gather information on a macOS system today. To do this, well need a mcOS computer in order to profile it and try to dig up as much information as we can. Once you have one, you can also check out the excellent Null Byte article written by Tokyoneon, and I also encourage you to follow him on Twitter because his content is super great.
