Samick is a Korean instrument company that has been around for a long time. I know them best for their pianos, which I have never loved but also never hated, either. Some time ago I reviewed a Samick concert grand that was impressively good for the price, and today I have a piano in a similar situation. While it does not have the phenomenal tone of a handcrafted European piano, it also does not have the phenomenally high price of one either. In fact, I think you'd be hard pressed to find a new 7-foot piano in today's market for this price, that sounds as good as this Samick-made Knabe does. It also looks quite nice, as well.
