Yesterday I had the privilege of speaking with Ruby Bridges.
At just six years old, she integrated an all-white elementary school in 1960 — walking through hostility with a courage far beyond her years.
What struck me most was her clarity: it wasn’t religion as an institution that carried her, but a deep and abiding faith in Jesus.
Faith brought her through. And it still brings us together.
