How does the 'separate self' exist?
So, what is the separate self? How does it come to be?
Well really it does not exist. There is no such entity. The only way the seems to be a separate self, is through a process that can be called "selfing"
Selfing is the constant focus by attention on the memory. This habitual incessant process of regurgitating old memories (past experience) gives the false impression of a so called separate self.
This separate self seems to exist in the mental realm of thinking. However, it falls apart as soon as attention remains present in the NOW.
Stop selfing and you stop suffering!
