Today we’re showing off the Palworld OFFICIAL CARD GAME with a hands-on demo from one of the experts: Alex Hodges, also known as @Alexketchem, card collector and self-described #1 Mew fan. He's going to take on Polygon contributor Ryan Epps in this one on one game where players build decks of Pals. You might recognize them from the Palworld video game, but here they have powers and abilities adapted for tabletop play.
We’re pitting these Pals against each other, using pre-built decks. If you've played other TCGs, you'll probably be able to follow along, but we'll explain the rules as we go.
Misplay: Broncherry took 800 damage from the Weapon Workbench, but its Power remains 1,500. Arsox deals another 800 damage to Broncherry, but Broncherry still counters using its full 1,500 Power.
Correct step: Arsox takes 1,500 damage from the battle with Broncherry, which exceeds its 800 Power. Both Arsox and Broncherry should be destroyed and sent to the graveyard.”
