As the Lindsay Clancy jury continues deliberating, Court TV’s legal analysts outside the courthouse break down the similarities and differences between Clancy’s case and the Andrea Yates case. Yates drowned and killed her five children in Texas in 2001 and was ultimately found not guilty by reason of insanity at her 2006 retrial. Clancy’s defense has similarly argued that she was suffering from severe mental illness when she killed her three children in 2023.
