I added a new combo viewer effect to showcase if an attack string is a true combo or not.
At the moment it works like a ring you can equip.
YELLOW is the initial hitstun.
RED means the last hit could be escaped.
BLUE means the last hit was a true combo.
So what exactly are "True Combos"?
In Dark Souls some attack strings are inescapable. For most weapon classes for example, the first light attack (R1) into the second light attack is a guaranteed string on hit. Meaning you can't roll the 2nd hit after being hit by the first. This is what's usually referred to as a true combo in Souls.
Dark Souls also uses a system that counts how many times you've been hit while stuck in hitstun.
The more you've been hit, the faster you can cancel your hitstun with a roll. Some weaponarts reset this counter, allowing you to do 3 or 4 hit combos.
