Forza Horizon 5 in 2026. How does the game hold up over five years after it released? This will go down as one of the most divisive Forza Horizon games in the entire series. On one hand, the map is absolutely beautiful and it's the biggest Horizon map we've ever had. The car roster is absolutely insane and the customization is pretty damn good. And with all the stuff you can do in the event lab, there is so much content in the game. When you compare directly to previous Forza Horizon games, it starts to lack in a lot of different departments. First off, just the soul the map is definitely not there for some reason. When you go into the main city of the game, there's no NPCs walking around. And overall all the locations in the game feel pretty dull and uninspired. Which is weird because Graphically they look really good, but they lack that charm of previous Horizon games. When you compare it to Games like Horizon 1 set in Colorado and the festival vibe, everything just felt so damn cool in that game. The car sounds are definitely a step up From Forza Horizon 4 in that game they just had so many different recycled ones and they're definitely a step in the right direction, but they're definitely not amazing. And honestly I still prefer Games like Horizon 2 in the sound department. Another big thing for Horizon games is the soundtrack. And yes, it's alright in this game, but it's not nearly as memorable as previous Horizon games. I think the online multiplayer stuff is pretty damn fun. I never really found myself playing it that much, but there's a lot of different cool game modes to sink your teeth into. I also thought the DLCs were pretty damn good, especially the rally one. I thought that was really fun. The Hot Wheels was just kind of a Repeat of Horizon 3, and honestly I think it was worse, but they weren't terrible DLCs. Overall, Forza Horizon 5 in many ways is the best game in the entire series and a lot of other ones. It's one of the worst and it's actually a big step back. Me personally, I'd give it like a 7 out of 10. I loved it when I first booted up and I could not stop playing it for like the first like two, three weeks that it came out. After that, I really never find myself coming back to the game and I'm just incredibly excited to see what they do with Horizon six.
