I do a gameplay overview and begin a full turn playthrough of Bretwalda. This video will explain and show gameplay in the game. In Bretwalda, 2-4 players vie for control of England in 796AD, trying to become the Bretwalda, or ruler, of the land. Bretwalda is a new release in December 2025 from Phalanx.

Gameplay Video Errata
1. I have each starting capital set up with three pieces, but there should be four: a ruler, ealdorman, thegn and a ceorl.
2. 33:00 - I gave East Anglia control of an area that there unit moved through (but didn't end movement in) in their turn. According to the rules, you only gain control if you stop in an area, just moving through it doesn't gain you control. I did this incorrectly.
