A basic explanation of how quadcopter drones work
In this type of model, the flight controller continuously adjusts each ESC to maintain stable flight. Motors and propellers are attached to a frame to provide air movement and lift, almost as if it's climbing on the air.
Hobbyists sometimes will attach cameras to these to provide stunning aerial video and another live video feed that is transmitted to FPV goggles or a screen for a real-time "virtual reality" type experience, but it's actual reality! The typical radio frequencies used are 5.8GHz for the live video and 2.4GHz for the control link, although lower frequencies are sometimes used to increase range.
