Can you reconstruct an ancestor’s love story using records alone?
Most of our ancestors didn’t leave diaries, letters, or written accounts explaining how they met their spouse. That doesn’t mean the story is completely lost. It may simply be hidden in the records.
In this livestream, I walk through a real case study from my Civil War research project and explore whether proximity, shared networks, and timing can help us build a plausible theory about how two ancestors may have met.
This is not about inventing stories.
It’s about thinking carefully.
