Sometimes the greatest threat to your purpose isn’t your enemy—it’s familiarity.
Jesus returned to His hometown ready to heal, deliver, and perform miracles, but the people were so familiar with Him that they couldn’t receive from Him.
“Isn’t this the carpenter’s son?”
“Didn’t we grow up with Him?”
“Who does He think He is?”
Their familiarity blinded them to God’s power.
Be careful of familiar spirits—people and mindsets that make what is sacred seem common, what is anointed seem ordinary, and what God is doing seem insignificant.
Everybody won’t celebrate your growth.
Everybody won’t recognize your calling.
Everybody won’t have the capacity to receive what God placed inside of you.
Don’t let familiar voices talk you out of your destiny.
If they can’t see the miracle, keep it moving.
There are other villages waiting on what God put in you.
