I get a lot of questions from beginner pianists about finger strength, control and flexibility, so in this tutorial I thought I'd take some time to deal with some of them and look at techniques for improving what you can do at the piano with your hands.
The basic takeaway is that being able to get your hands to do what you want them to do on the piano keyboard isn't really a question of strength, but of control - it's about reinforcing the mental circuitry that governs the fine motor control of your fingers.
