Disney has a boy problem — at least according to Variety. The studio is reportedly looking for new original IP to win back Gen-Z men after struggles with Marvel, Star Wars, and Lucasfilm.
But here’s the truth: Disney doesn’t need new IP. They need good stories. Instead of treating audiences as people, Disney’s leadership and creatives keep seeing identity groups and demographics. That’s why Marvel, Star Wars, Indiana Jones, and even their billion-dollar Galactic Starcruiser flop keep failing.
