Although there are hundreds of palaeolithic cave art sites across Europe, there are only a few on the eastern Iberian Peninsula. Much more common is portable art from that period. So, the discovery of the Cova Dones site is an important one. In this video I discuss the research that has taken place at Cova Dones, including rare techniques used for painting and engraving and also how experts have dated the site. I also talk about the Parpalló Cave where more than five thousand pieces of portable art have been found over the years.
