Okay so I guess I'll tell the backstory now so people aren't confused.
So when Devon and Damin were little they got along perfectly and were best friends. (they're brothers by the way.) As they grew up, Devon claimed his place as King and Damin was absolutely fine with it. Then one day Devon got really really sick. Everyone thought that he was going to die, including himself, so he passed down the crown ahead of time to Damin so that he could see his brother rule before he passed on. Miraculously though, Devon survived his sickness and pulled through very well. Devon asked Damin to return the crown and duty as King to him, but he refused because he believed that Devon was still slightly sick and wasn't ready for the crown again. This made Devon go crazy. He wanted to be King again so bad. After about a year, he couldn't stand it any longer and snapped. He convinced Damin to go down to the prison with him to check on everything themselves. While they were down there, Devon attacked Damin and created a large wound in his neck. Damin was scared and confused and he finally realized that it was his fault that his brother did this. Damin bleeds out in the end, and Devon takes the crown back. He blames a prisoner escaping on Damin's death to the public and other Royal figures.
